The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the superior variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The assistance issue established for intervention experiences a higher influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to allow the servicing of all consumers and boost access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
